I am a Ft. Collins native, born in Poudre Valley Hospital, graduated in 1997 from Poudre High, in 2005 from CSU with a degree in Foreign Languages and Litereatures, endorsed to teach K-12 Spanish. I have worked as a bilingual para, and taught Spanish in various schools - Traut, Riffenburgh, Windsor Charter - before working at Options.
I have been teaching in the Options program since 2010, and I also teach Spanish for PGA. I love seeing students engage in their learning and get excited about new things! Being able to get to know all kinds of different children and their families keeps me coming back year after year!
I love having the freedom to develop lesson plans that fit each group of students that I teach.
In my childhood read thorugh Chronicles of Narnia over and over.
I spend lots of time with my family playing outdoors - swimming, biking, hiking, camping - you name it! I am married to Andrew Nye, and we have two beautiful sons, Thelounious, 1, and Samuel, 4.
