Educational background:

I received my undergrade in elementary education from Ball State University in 2001. I received my master of arts from Lesley University in 2010. I worked at Timnath Elementary for my first 16 years of teaching. I started at PGA in 2019.

I have a 15 year old son, Isaiah. He loves to run and play or listen to classical music. He is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. I also have a 13 year old daughter, Isabelle. She is passionate about ducks and koalas. She listens to books on tape and enjoys being a part of musical theatre productions.

Why I enjoy teaching:

I love teaching because I love learning. It thrills me to learn something new and apply what I know in real situations.

Favorite Books:

I love reading...pretty much anything. My problem, I can't remember titles or authors!  Any book that makes me lose my sense of reality is my favorite.  I love closing a book and feeling like I just watched a good movie. I enjoy reading about well-developed characters.  It makes me a little sad when I'm done with really good books, I feel like I won't hear from good friends again for a while.

Interests & Hobbies:

You will find me outside, more than inside. I love hiking, snowshoeing, camping, gardening, and sunshine in general. I enjoy working out, especially if it is a kickboxing class with boxing gloves on! I would also choose to spend my time reading or crafting something. I really enjoy being with my people and exploring my world. I spend the summer traveling as much as I can. I am working my way to earning my black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I also love to serve the community of Fort Collins and my church.
